which of these arrows would you all consider to be a better arrow for 3d?

It depends on what you like to shoot and what works best with your setup. Redlines are damned good shafts but a little on the skinny side. The CXL 3D select' s I bought are also great shafts but they don' t seem to carry as well downrange and I can' t get them tuned as well as the Redlines. If you' re hitting what you' re aiming at, you don' t need a linebreaking arrow diameter; so I went with the Redlines as my regular shaft - they shoot more consistently for me. You gotta do what I do - buy many different shafts and work with fletchings, tuning, point weights, etc., until you find something that' s just so sweet you can' t be persuaded to switch.

I have been pleased with the Carbon Express arrows I recently purchased. I have never shot the Easton Redlines. With that, I cannot say how they compare. Robert Williams brought up an excellant point.

I PREFER REDLINES, BUT EASTON HAS ALSO CAME OUT WITH LIGHTSPEEDS THIS YEAR WHICH ARE LIGHTER, I TRIED THE CXLS BEFORE THE WORLDS LAST YEAR AND ACTUALLY HAD ONE BREAK OFF IN A TARGET WHILE I WAS TRYING TO PULL IT OUT, I REALLY DID NOT LIKE THEM, BUT A LOT PEOPLE DO. THE REDLINES I USED LAST YEAR, I AM STILL USING THIS YEAR AND WILL AT BEDFORD UNTIL I CAN TRY THE LIGHTSPEEDS, THESE REDLINES ARE ALSO THE SAME ONES I USED TO HUNT WITH LAST YEAR----SO THEY ARE VERY DURABLE.

Carbon Express are the better choice. Although a CX is a thinner shaft for 3-D. If you are looking for some gerth try the CXL' s. They are about the same weight, and are thinker in diameter. Depending on the poundage you are shooting you may even be able to shoot the Linejammers. These are Carbon Express' s biggest diameter arrow. I would only shoot these if you are shooting a poundage of about 68 to 70 lbs. Anything lighter stick with the CXL' s. You won' t be sorry.
