Since the 10X is now 11 points, My understanding that the score is still 300pt. with a possible 30 extra or bonus points....My question is I have noticed that at alot of the shoots I go to people have been subtracting the points that they drop during the shoot from 330 instead of 300. Has anyone else seen this going on?
I think something should be done to clarify how to keep score......Ive seen shooters turn in score cards with 5' s and even a blank with a total score that is impossible.....When we pointed it out to the club officials they said using the subtration from 330 was correct.
AmI wrong or is it not 300 pts with possible 30 bonus points or do you use the 330 for scoring?

Scoring is 11 - 10 - 8 - 5 - 0. There is no " bonus" . If you hit the inner (previously known as X) ring, it is an 11. 330 is high score for 30 tgargets. Score what you hit. If you guys are using the terminology of " bonus" for the inner circle, then I can see where some people who don' t shoot competitively might give themselves a score of 10 PLUS an 11 " bonus" for a total of 22. That is not correct.

Thanks alot folks, I had not even considered the possibility that someone would calculate the new scoring as 10 plus an additional " bonus" 11. I' ll have to watch for a while to see if that pattern emerges. As stated above, there definately are no bonus points but rather additional available total points. Perfect 30 target round is 330 or 440 for a 40 target set.
