Question for IBO World Qualifiers??

I have a question that I would like to pose.
Why if a person qualifies for the IBO World Championship (receives a written invitation Reserved for the top twenty (20) shooters in each class at each event),and is shooting lets say the IBO Triple Crown, or maybe just goes to another IBO qualifing shoot. At the next shoot WHY wouldnt he tell or inform the Hosting club that he has already Quailified to not count his score for qualification, this does nothing to his shooting score, his score still counts in the overall and for the current shoot. All this does is let another shooter get an invitiation togo to IBO World Championship, this is where you "the Shooter" let more competition go to the world.
I asked this question to the powers that be and other senior shooters, with responses like "They like to get as many qualifing letters as they can make them feel better about their shooting ability." and "they just dont know tha tthey can do that" or the best one "They are tryin to thin out the competition!" So let hear it what or why or your two cents worth. Please respond, I have an opinion which i will reserve the answer.
Thanks for your time and any responses in advance:

That was an idea i hadnt thought about. Giving a price break for the series events, cause if you are competing for the top prizes in your class in lets say the World Triple Crown, then you would be more committed to finish the three leg event. I would have to say that if the IBO and hosting clubs gave a better rate to already qualified archers, then there might be a rise in attendances at all events to include the world.
With that as a benefit maybe there could be more host club out this way, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, wyoming, etc. Which also would help the IBO get the ever falling shooter numbers back up to a normal or maybe even higher level. I hate to see this sport/disipline die off due to non-participation. This sport is one of the few "Family Healthy" sports left. That means the family unit gets to have fun as a group, which keep trusts, honestly, respect, and cohosiveness in the family unit heck even extended family.
PS you dont have to win everytime, it is just there to have fun and enjoy the company of freinds and family. Mostly to see how much more practice one needs. I am not the best or close to the best shooter, but my main goal is to get more kids in the NASP and the open an avenue to the 3D and Spot Shooting World, and I make sure to invite the parents along for the exciting ride. Cause if they arent there to expereince the childrens little victories then who will?

I understand your idea of team concept. However if this becomes the norm new are up and comming archers will not even try to go shoot one of these events cause they dont think they have a chance to get in the top 20. Then your World Championship will may never really be challenged. You know the saying "On any given day one can beat anyone else" however if you never give the opportunity, it can never happen. Out west there are way fewer qualifing events. Most states have only one and if you have your typical off day then your out. Yes I agree that means something like you sucumb to the stress level or whatever the reason. So the better person wins, but if that person has already won before, then why not take themselves out of the equation.
I am poseing this thread to let everyone know and reply, that they can do this without repercussions. There by letting more competitors join in the experience. Which we all know is the right thing to do to keep our sport from declining in numbers. Now I am wondering why there arent more Clubs in the midwest willing to hold a IBO Shoot. This too is part of the problem. I would think that any club would be happy to hold one event to create more income of both monies and archers. It wouldnt even need to be a Three leg event, just a single shoot would do. Hense opening the door for more new archers to come tryout there new found skill against everyone with the chance of catchin the dream.
Host clubs how much of a task is it to put on one of these shoots? I would speculate that it would take about the same amount of time as a 3D setup. Maybe more due to more stakes and the double scoring time. But isnt the influx of shooters to your club/range worth it? Most clubs I shoot all across the country have a single score card and they let whomever shoot with whomever, which is fine, so long as integerity is there. I do however like the double scoring and spliting up of peer groups to help maintain integrity. I make it a point to only shoot these type of tournaments. I was surprised more clubs dont use the double scoring system. When I inquired about this most told me they feel if someone wants to cheat, to miss mark the score to make it higher then there is really no way of checking for it. I believe most archers dont want a faulty score on record, but I can see how even in two card system it could be corrupted. So how does a organization police this?
Most clubs dont have enough members to ride/walk the course randomly, and I would guess they dont have enough to send a scorer out with each shooting group.
Thanks for your comments, and to the father/son shooter, thank you very much.

In order to comply with your suggestion the shooter would have to know whether or not they qualified. I've shot state level qualifiers and left not knowing whether or not I had qualified. I was never able to find where the scores were posted on either the IBO web site or the local sponsoring clubs web site. I've asked to see the scores before I had to leave the range but was denied the opportunity to see them, for some unknown reason. I guess some folks just get off on being "in charge". Kinda like Alexander Haig..."...I am in control..."

Gunslinger, I have claimed no qualifier status at state level shoots before for the very reasons stated above and anyone who feels the need to collect qualifier letters must not be comfortable with thier shooting ability, 1 is all you need unless you are trying to qualify in another class.Carlosii, I believe that it is the responsibility of thehost club of a world qualifier to notify by letter anyone who qualified at thier shoot (top 20 in any class) for the world championships, if you feel that you have shot aqualifying score and have not been notified you should try contacting the host club, if you can't get an answer from them, the I would suggest contacting the IBO home office and see if they can help you out.

In my opinion they let any body qualify for one reason they say top 20 scores get in that could be 50-70 people due to multiple scores so how fair is it to win a state shoot and your in and a person that shoots a 340 is just as equal. Besides that some people travel to other states championship shoots to win a title it is not that persons fault if he has qualified from another. If he does not count his score then he is not eligable to win a title. I'm not trying to start nothing just my opinion.

Just for the record. I am 55 and have been shooting a little more than 2 years. Last year I went to the Worlds because it was here in my home state of Indiana. I finished second to last in my class. THREE MONTHS AGO we reserved our rooms in New York. This year I have moved up in class and I know that I do not have a prayer in the world of finishing anywhere near the top 10. But I really like archery, I love my bow ( Hoyt ), and up to this point I have never met a greater bunch of guys in one place at one time as I have at archery shoots. Plus, I have learned more than I could tell here. The more archers that get into the tournament the stronger the organization becomes.
