Good point broadhead. Actually, those cool (relatively)and wet summers are great for antler growth. More water on the ground means plants pick up more minerals from the soil, and that translates to more minerals for antlers development. Weather here in Maine has been great. The last 3 weeks has really taken the snow away. No snow in southern maine but here in central maine about a foot left. No crusted ice though, makes it easy for the deer to get around. I personally think its going to be a good winter for the white tails.

It's been really mild here in NY, too. Matter of fact, the pond that's behind my apartment building already has Canada geese back. (Yes, they left in the fall.)
One more snowstorm, I think. Maybe a wicked nor'easter.
I hope that it pours this spring. Supposedly, El Nino is going to be back this year. (Not sure what difference that makes.)
