Winter was easy on the deer herd and the numbers look a lot better than last season. Low winter kill along with little snow for the coyotes to captialize on has given us a good leg up on this coming season. Everybody else seeing a lot of deer this spring?

I have not been out in the area where I hunt yet this spring. That is in South Dakota. They has a mild winter there as well and the deer numbers were real high last year. There should be deer all over the place there next fall. This barring an outbreak of some kind. This has never been the case in Mule deer in our area. There have been some huge whitetail die offs from time to time there however. Where I hunt is about 85 percent Mule Deer. Can't wait.
