Yet another distortion that you can't back up
No, it is not a distortion. and from Alt's perspective it makes perfect sense. Remember , he also said that if hunters didn't harvest enough doe he would do whatever it took to reduce the herd to the PGC's desired goal.
i ate lunch with ALT and state rep hanna.

i was against the AR restriction that was not for all of us.

i felt it would be ABUSED,it is.

now, ALT said to me with mike looking at me after my comment, he said, SPROUL HUNTERS SHOULD ONLY SHOOT A ADULT DOE,NOT A FAWN.
reason he said this is because the ADULT DOE is one that has 2 fawns.

most of hunters did not listen to this, they all had blood in their eyes.[:@]

at times, i felt i was only one that did not want to see all these doe killed off.

most were thinking how they were going to fill the freezer.

yes, his job was to REDUCE HERD.

it has worked great in WMU2G ..

i blame the PGC for overharvesting deer or lets say LETTING IT HAPPEN, BUT THAT WAS GOAL.

but i blame hunters i am seeing when you tell them there is 2 doe in area left and they take a crew and go into that area to kill those 2 doe off not even looking to see if its a FAWN.

i saw 9 crews do this after i asked them to not shoot a doe, 9 crews.[:@]

i cant understand hunters i am seeing today.

i did see some things that have hope.

i did see LOCAL hunters passing on doe this year in clinton county.

but the out of town hunters made up for it by shooting doe.

one even said he had 28 deer in his yard at york, pa but came here with 7 hunters to kill a doe.

now, you figure hunters like that out and you move to front of class

"BLAH" is the sound I make to stop a 10 point, so I can stick him in the ribs.

So were you trying to call a 10 pt. on the MB? I thought you couldn't get any deer if you're on the computer.

You'd be surprised at the technological advances being made these days.

It appears that hunting here is something such as getting out of the truck falling over the deer while loading ones rifle and then being back at the camp to tell the story..
Cheapshots like that are totally uncalled for and are an insult to the hunters of PA who reduced our herd by over 600K deer in just 6 years. There is no other state in the country that has accomplished that degree of HR in such a short time.
How it doesn't matter if you can actually hunt?

How what doesn't matter? What are you talking about?
You made sport of my opinion Bluebird reference taking the needed precautions to harvest an animal.. No one discusses carrying capacity.. nor do we judge our lack of a hunting program by the successes of other similar states..
Who says no one discusses carrying capacity and who says we lack,"a hunting program"? Or did yoy mean something entirely different. It is hard to tell!
