I have been hunting in the Addison/Campbell area and not having much luck. Weather is warm and it has been pretty windy a few times that I have been out. I did see a shooter (120" or better for me) yesterday morning, but it was 200 yards out in a cut corn field. All the deer I have been seeing are from sunrise until about 8AM and then not much activity. Anyone else seeing much?? Hopefully it cools down soon...Going to be 80 today...that's crazy for Oct 22..

Where are you hunting in the Addison / Campbell area? Our place is in that vicinity (Beartown hill and Erwin Mgt. Area), but we won't make it up for bow season. We will be up for gun tho. My sister lives just outside Painted Post and claims she's been seeing lots of deer / bucks around. Good luck to you.

bugsnbows-Actually I am not far form you. Just a few miles from Erwin state lands. I hunt just off from Beeman Hollow Rd. I just bought a piece of property so this is my first year in this area. No expectations yet. I have been seeing some deer, but I will have a better idea of the quality of bucks when the weather cools down and the rut starts. I can give you an update later in the year. I have the fist 2 weeks of November off and plan to hunt hard every day..

Guess we're kind of neighbors. Our land fronts Beeman Hollow, but we go in on the Beartown Road side. We've got a run down old cabin there with about 75 acres. We hunt the neighboring farms too (that abutt Erwin). That gives us alot of land. We usually only get on Erwin during bow season or late gun. It gets crowded there when gun first starts up. Been hunting there since the 60's. Usually don't see many whoppers, but there are a few lurking around. The wife and I will be up in November for gun season. Going to KY first tho. Maybe we'll meet up dragging one out. Good luck to you.
