I have used ground blinds for four years now and I put orange survey tape on the outside. It works very well. Just make sure you put plenty around the blind so that it can be seen from any direction. I have not had any problems, or close calls, using this system. I am certain that hunting from a ground blind is MUCH safer than using a tree stand. Just look at the statistics about hunting accidents and you will see what I mean. Good luck.

I have never took a deer during archery season from a stand.I didn't feel safe from them. And climbing a tree without a ladder made me insecure while I was in it. All my deer I took with a bow was one on one on the ground. No blinds. All them was bucks. actually only 4 of them is all I shot while I bow hunted. Don;t ask me why or how,But I could not hit a doe with a bow. I have tried and missed. This one doe.I will never forget. The short fat ones. Any way. She let me shoot at her 4 times with the same arrow? Yes, The same arrow. I only had one left cause the others got all bent up and lost from practice. How many have done this on a tight budget or working part time? Anyway, She was in an opening and I stood up behind a tree about 10 yrds from her. She was behind me. My shoulder was to the tree as I turned to look at her. Fling my arrow went and was in front of her. It stuck in the ground. She moved about 15 yrds to my right. My only arrow I had in my quiver. I talked to the deer in a whisper as I walked slowly towards my arrow in the ground. She looked like she was listening to me. I gave her reassuarance I wasn't goanna hurt her. I got to my arrow, nocked it and let it fly at her again. LMAO. Another miss. Did she run away? No she sttod there. I walked real slow towards her cause my arrow hit under her. She slowly moved away as I aproached. I think she was playing a gane with me. Again I reached my arrow and she stood there. Shot again. Miss.LMAO. She walked around again as I walked to get my arrow.Last shot I had. I pulled backed and released.THAWUMP. My arrow hit above her and stuck in a tree. She ran off that time. I went and tug and twisted my arrow out of the tree. All I got back was the shaft where I had to force it up and down till it broke above the broad head insert. That was my first year. Ever since that I been hitting nothing but bucks when I used the bow. One on one on the ground with a deer is the only way to go. To top it off,All I had to wear was used camo clothes from a army navy store.
