I just drove through there on I-57 last week on my way here to Indiana. I have a bow tag this year and was thinking I might try there. Lots of big woods with rolling hills. My bet is the areas bordering crop fields would be the best bet. That or getting topos and hunting saddles.

I go down there and hunt a few times during bow season. I like taking weekend trips away from my usual hunting area. I hunt south of Murphysboro, IL and also around Kinkaid lake near Murphysboro. There is a ranger station in that town with topo maps. If I can give anyone anymore help feel free to e mail me. [email protected]
