Hey priz, have you been to the farm and fleet in germantown by Falls Archery? That is the place to go for cheap stuff. Same tree steps at Gander were almost 2$ cheaper at farm and fleet! Scents, shells and all supplies are cheaper at farm and fleet! Guns too! Found my same shotgun, Rem 870 25$ cheaper at farm and fleet!

Zeak I don' t know how you tell time, but wahoo to mitchell in 3 hours seems a " little" on the quick side. You are surely setting a nice pace on your way to KC also. I don' t really want to say what I think about any time spent visiting the Kearney store.

Since I' ve moved here to MN I guess I' ve been spoiled by the 40 minute drive to Owatonna.

Woody,

I agree. No way there' s even close to 500 bows there. Still not a bad place though.

I have been to only one Gander Mountain store and that was several years ago in St Cloud, Mn. I have been to Cabelas in Owatonna, Mn ,Sidney, Ne, Kearney, Ne, Mitchell, SD and the one in KC. I have also been to Bass Pro in Springfield, Mo. The Cabela stores are soo far above the other two mentioned stores in cleanlinless, variety of merchandise and helpfulness and knowledge by the clerks in the store. I was very, very disappointed in Bass Pro in Springfield. This is my opinion. I could go on some more on how Cabelas stand behind the quality of their merchandise if anyone is interested.

Gander Mnt in St Cloud MN was the only show in town for a long time if you wanted anything but the basics you could get at Fleet Farm. But last year Sportsman' s Warehouse opened in town, and it has forced Gander to be much more competetive. Now that there is another show in town, there prices and deals are much better

I will agree that gander mountain is a very good store, even if they are a little pricey. I really like the Gander Mountain in Germantown, WI. And just to let you all know Bow Hunting fool was a little off. The store is Fleet Farm, not Farm and Fleet. Just thought I would clear that up.
