ST.Croix, Do you live in Mondovi, or outskirts, I will be there on April 24 for turkey hunting. I have hunted there for the last 3 years, to the west to the south of hwy 10. I usually stay at the hotel in Mondovi on the corner on the east side of town.

Don I live on the south side of town of Hwy 37. Should be around that week/weekend. Otherwise the sheds have been hard to come by, mild winters make for hard sheddin' . I have put in 4 hours this week and have come up with 2 sheds, one was even from last year. Hopefully others are having better luck than I am. Both found on a creek bottom.

I am up in northern Illinois.

I can tell you that there ain' t nothing wearing any headgear around these parts.

I have found some " good" sheds and a couple " tremendous" sheds!

Get out in the woods and start kickin around, cause once things green up the sheds will surely belong to the mice and squirrels.

I was out scouting for Turkeys today and found a half with four. Nice hieght but Im sure it was a young buck and not too wide. I start Turkey hunting the 16th so I' ll be looking for more as I move around in that area.

Was out last night pulling some fence post, I almost stepped on a 4-point shed 52" I looked up and the other side was maybe 30 yards away in the woods. This side was a 5-point and it scored 61" . Kind of a unexpected find the buck has lots of character(stickers) and should be a good one this fall.

I went out for a little drive last night and saw about 25 deer in a field. So today I went back and was going to look for sheds. I wasn' t there 20 minutes before I found this 6 point shed. I checked the field for a bout 10 minutes then decided to look on the inside edge of the woods. I walked about 70 yards and found the " match" . I' m assuming that it' s the match. There is no guarantee, but a lot of the same characteristics are there. The first shed that is six points would probably score around 70" . The five point shed would go about 65" . I' ll probably score them up tonight. I have better pics coming. But for now, these will have to do.

Iwas walking in one of my hunting areas today and I jumped up 2 deer bedded down 25 yards from me. One ran away from me giving me a view of nothing but its backside couldnt tell if it was a doe or a buck that had already shed its antlers. The other had a 120 class 6 point rack of polished hard antlers, Ive never seen them with antlers this late in the year in this area before? It had good body size and a very symetrical rack.
