Finally Found Outdoors Girlfriend!

3 Month Update: RB asked me to move in with her a month ago and it's gone well. Not wild about this but she twisted my arm. We have been exclusively dating for 7 months now. She found this 150" skull on her first shed hunt with me. Took her all of 15 minutes. We'll be making a weekend of the upcoming Wisconsin Deer/Turkey Expo. Also drew Illinois turkey tags. I took her for her first 3D shoot and she loved that. There were 80 male shooters and 3 female. Even I am not stupid enough to ignore those odds. I have her hog tied and I am not lettin up.

Hard to believe, huh? No, I was not joking. She did not even know what shed hunting was before she met me. But she loves hiking, even in the winter. When I described it, she wanted to go immediately. The following Saturday we drove down to the Joliet area and jumped out of the truck and in 15 minutes she calls to me through the woods that she found some "whole deer skeleton", then lifts that rack up as I approached. I could not believe it. I had beenoff and on shed hunting for 15 years in Indiana and never found one that size. We are supposed to go out again Saturday. It's really fun to be with someone like this.

Well congrats and good luck. I hope you dont enjoy the weekends with the guys, cause they are over. I ended up with a girl like that and now they guys dont ask any more. They claim if they wanted a wife in camop they would ask theirs to go. Kind of sucks in a way. Who do you piss off and offend, the wife or the buddies.

TeeJay, I have never been one to hang out with the guys........for drinking or hunting or anything else.As far as hunting goes, I have always been pretty much a solo trophy hunter drawing tough tags out west.I do have a couple hunting buddies that may be in position to plan some trips in the future, but they are serious hunters, not socializers. They already told me they'd have no problem if RB came along. We would all be there to hunt. Sheis in outstanding shape and can handle any mountains with a good summer regiment. In short I understand some guys like to hang out with their buddies, I am just not one of them. I've always wanted to find someonelike this. Zero doubt.

I headed out to Marsielles the other day and didn't see crap for antlers but got a pic of a doe.
Another shed hunting thought: My bowfishing friends and I have found 3 good sized buck skeletons with intact racks at the water's edge in our early shoots in March and April. The current consensus is that they were probably gut shot and died while going to the water because of theintense thirst caused by a lack of water absorbsion cause by acut-up digestive tract.
Good luck.
