Other than the 2 of you being Bears fans, everything seems perfect.

That is awsome Zim. I haven't figured out yet if my new girlfriend is serious when she says that she want's to try all the outdoor stuff that I do or if she is just trying to make a good impression.

Will find out soon though!

Well we biked out there again this morning. No deer. The good aspect of this though is she found something to do while waiting. Our stands were facing each other and we ended up smooching off & on for 3 freakin hours.......in deerstands. Crazy gal. Sure broke the boredom.

Sounds good, as long as you dont go slapping Tinks 69 on her and grabbing your Primos Buck Roar call, she will stick around for awhile...lol

Prozacaddict, Actually we play around a lot doing just that! I taught her the buck grunts and she makes them with her voice. Then I toot the Primos Tru-grunt tube in her ear when she's not looking. She aslo does her best at a buck snort/wheeze, and a warning snort. She's really funny.

Matt, Turns out I ended up giving RB my son's old bow, a PSE Bandit, to get her started in archery. She decided today she wants to bowhunt this year, so we are going to Cabela's Sunday to get accessories. In the meantime she is drawing every day 35# for strength and I'll crank it to 40# on Sunday. She'll have 2 weeks to practice with broadheads. We'll be hunting in the Joliet area. Hope her new bow doesn't distract her from our other hobby.

She asked tonight if CBH will be having any more shoots this year. I saw 2 on the schedule. Can you tell me if these are for broadheads? What kind of targets do they put out? She wants to go.

I couldn't tell ya about the broadheads or really anything about CBH - I don't belong or go there often. But like I said, let me know when you're this way and I could give ya atleast a one-man fan section - LOL.

Funny you mention Cabelas and Sunday. I was fixin to head down there (Joliet) today but ............... there's this "Honey-Do" list I best keep on before I depart for S. IL next month (if I know what's good for me!).

Weird thing about that list is everytime I scratch something off.......it seems two more things appear! [][][]

UMatt,

Where in southern Illinois are you going? I drew a JEPC 1st & 2nd gun season permit and will be in Petersburg Nov. 13-23 if I don't fill my 2nd buck tag in Joliet. Great my girlfriend decided to try bowhunting because now I'll have something to do while waiting for my special hunt. I'll be on stand coaching her through her entire hunting season!

We did get to Cabela's yesterday for 3 hours and got her PSE bandit all set up! My son's old bow fits her perfect for poundage and draw length! She is shooting pretty good, and is an office manager with a company where she can shoot indoors every day until season. She loves it so far. I'm glad I picked this season to fill my first tag so quick, so she can have my undivided attention without distraction. I will put her in excellent shooting situations and expect her to kill a nice buck this year. No doubt in my mind she will do it!
