I am hearing reports of a 21-pointer that dressed out at 250, and is expected to break state records, my source is a reliable one but i dont know his sources. I told him to try to come up with a picture, I will believe it whenI see it.

According to Hoosierhunting.com, someone in Indiana may have broken the WORLD RECORD for a typical whitetail buck this last weekend. So much for the belief that Indiana cant produce monster whitetails.

Two years ago there was one taken in either Parke or Putnam county that weighed in at 265 and had one heck of a rack. Do not know if he had it scored or not. But it was one huge pig. I got one in 1990 that weighed in at 240 dressed. So yes there are some big deer in Indiana. Just few and far between. I still feel that most are smaller racked and bodied because of stress and having to share food resourses.Lookes like on most of the shows that talk about big racks and big bucks also push food plots and supplemental feeding. Now we all know that Supplemental feeding is a no no in Indiana. Well at least during any of the seasons and a month befor. But if you have private property that you control or are the only hunters start some food plots and watch your deer develop. 2 years should make one heck of a change in how they look.
