as to the lost arrows, i would say the burr that you removed will help out, also it depends what kind of bow you are shooting, if the bow has fast cams sometimes it will snap theline ,also the drum reels were great at one time ,but now days you have a wide range of products for bowfishing set ups.Ya may want ot save some $ and look at different setups.

Hey guys/gals, just wanted to let you all know I managed an independence day first fish...and a second, and a third and me and duckmn80 ended up with 20 in the boat and 5 pulloffs!
And yes, I am hooked.!

You're in trouble now! Once you get this bowfishing "virus" in your system, it's there for good! Be prepred, at night when you go to sleep and you start running a "fever" and you start having bighead or silver carp halluncinations! In the morning your wife will ask you why you kept saying "There's a carp" over and over again!
