A good muff that goes around your waist is great. When it's real cold I pretty near stoke the thing like a fire with handwarmers. You can actually put about twenty warmers in one of those things...I haven't reached the point of combustion yet but I'm working on it.

Putting your hands in muff is always good!

if it were me i would tell my doctor just to be safe. if its very poor circulation i would get it checked out. after that i can tell you from what ive learned is that seperating individual fingers with cloth in between as in wearing gloves thick or thin makes for cold hands and fingers. better to go with mits and a heat pack inside.

Choice #1 muff with a heater , choice #2 neoprene gloves when you can't wear a muff.

X2 for the mits and heat packs. I have low blood pressure coupled with the fact that my hand's and feet perspire. Mits work much better than gloves, and you get used to removing the finger cover quickly on your shooting hand.

I usually just use hand warmers I personally cant stand the flip top gloves for me I'd just rather wear nothing so i use like a thin/medium thickness glove enough to still operate the gun easily with hand warmers that has always worked for me

i used the HAND MUFF thing this year.

it was great.

i slipped my handwarmers right in.

question, what is light glove that you can use in there and still pull your hands out on gun.

i want a real thin glove just to hold my gun to shoot.

I used to use wool glove liners from a military supply store. They need to be tight fitting. Put them on in the house long enough for your hands to get warm before you go out and keep them on use a hand warming muff or keep them in you pocket. I never had a problem with cold hands, but now I can't find them anywhere so I keep my hands in my pockets..

I hunt in usually mid 20 to low 30 degrees weather. I have bad circulation in my hands and when i am sitting in my tree stand after an hr my hands get cold. I wear a pair of wool gloves with the removable top to shoot. I am looking for a new pair of gloves, any suggestions i want something warm and something that can keep me dry from melting snow or rain.

Try these golves. They are a little pricey but well worth the money. They also have those gripping dots. I put a small chemical handwarmer in the palms and they do a good job.
