Well I'm sticking my vote with the Irish Setter's [Buck Stalkers] 1600 grm's thinsulate ,but if your doing a lot of walking you may find them a little too warm to wear .They're the best for cold weather .I bought them at Bass Pro for $159.00 .

I have a pair of Guide Gear Carnivore 1,000s from Sportsman's Guide , a pair of Brahma pacs from Wal-mart , and a pair of their cheapo camo tennies . All combined were well under $200 and have never leaked since I sprayed them thoroughly with Scotchgardâ„¢ before wearing them for the first time . An occasional cleaning and retreatment ensures that they never will .

My LaCrosse boots have started leaking and I won't buy another pair of them. I got the snakeproof/waterproof because I'm afraid of snakes but yesterday one of them sprung a leak while scouting a swamp.

Danner here, very comfortable. Bought them about 5 years ago at a Danner outlet 10 mins from the house. Where they sell new and seconds. Well the seconds were 125.00 just in my price range. To this day Ican't remember what the flaw was, they have never leaked.

P.S.
Growing up my oleman would say, walking in a pair of Danner's is like walking on a feild of tities (sp). One of the few things we can agree on

GET DANNER QUARRY BOOTS!

Thinsulate lined (lightly), Gore Tex, comfortable as a tennis shoe.

Right at $200.

After buying my pair, I had some extra cash, so I bought another so I will have a new pair waiting for when these wear out!! They are just that comfortable.

Check out the Superslam by SILVIS the ones that Chuck adams wears. I have both 600 and 1200 gram and they are superb. I have walked done water runn-offs in the rain and through many creeks and they have kept my fett dryer than can imagine. They have a gore-tex shock liner. The have a vibram sole with great traction and are extremely light under 3 pounds. These are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and only cost about 100 bucks.

The Survey crew where I work are outside 8 to 10 hrs. a day 5 days a week they put there boots through all kinds of stuff. They said Danner. Just bought a pair of Danner Pronghorn a couple of weeks ago, $149.95. Have wore them a few timeslight and feel great. They also have a snake proof style really cool looking one of the crew guys just got a new pair today he said he could not beleave how light they are for snake proof.
