Guys,andgirls, I was thinking about trying to stalk a bunch of boars in a swamp near millican. Since I'm on foot there is always a chance one could charge.So, to be safe rather than sorry,what gun should I use?

It depends on the size of the hog that charges you. I think with one less than 150lbs, a a 357magnum revolver or 44 should do the trick. If you are fast enough to trigger a whole magazine of 9mm, say 10 or 15 rounds, it could kill the hog instantly.

Any .357 mag with a hunting bulletwill do. This is the one I carry as a side arm.

No Rev, this is a compitition model and has compensator cut's on the barrel. Actually, my wife can shoot this one one handed.

stalking is the method I use most when hunting hogs,usually in very thick stuff,I have yet to have a hog charge me that wasn't wounded! But if that was of concern to me I would use a 12 ga. with double 00 buck! I have had them run in my general direction but they useually vear off to one side!
