SEECAMP AUTO ?
What is so special about the little SEECAMP AUTO.It does'nt look like much to me.I mean It is a little D.A. only,.32ACP.It is about the size of a baby browning .25ACP.My gun dealer has a couple of them and they are right expensive $600.00.He ordered them in 1995 and just got the shipment last year.I know he said they are hand made by a family owned co.He also said the blue book prices them at $900.00 N.I.B. unopened. It is a nice looking little pistola. But I just don't see the price.

RE: SEECAMP AUTO ?
they only make a couple thousand a year. it is the ultimate small pocket pistol. they make a .380 that has the exact outer dimensions of the .32 but a bigger hole in the barrel. thats some engineering marvel there. the price is justified by that. as i am sure you noticed the gun has no sights either. the gun has so much demand that there are years of backorders but the owner says hes just happy making all he can sell at (i think there not expensive from the factory) $450 or less. the reason that they cost so much is that some people would rather pay twice the price than wait several years for one to come from the factory

propmahn,I probally would go for the .380.It is a cool looking little thing. Now I wish you would not have told me about the .380 if it is the same size as the .32 I am going to have to have one <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm not sure I'd want it other than in .32 ACP....tiny autos in .380 (Colt Pocket Lite's excluded) are no where near as fun to shoot as when in .32 ACP! (A pre-GCA 68 German manufactured PPK in .32 I have is a total blast, and a real tack driver, making ragged-hole groups at 10-12 yards...)

mark have you seen these things? they are not really plinkers. they have NO sights even. the owner of the company says its strictly a close range defensive pistol and that if you need sights your shooting from too far away. i suppose you could use them as plinkers but if i wanted a plinker i would go to something slightly larger and with sights. in a defensive pisol though i would definatly go .380

Yes, I saw a used one (Seecamp LWS 25) for about $550 exactly once in 20 years or so of gun store browsing since I had heard of them. They were definitely the pocket pistol rage, but more recently the tiny KelTec and North American offerings are providing quality alternatives to the scalper Seecamp prices sought for by dealers.
A tiny .32 is great, when you know you can't carry anything else...for every other time, the .45 Officer's ACP or LW Commander will suffice! :-)

I own a seecamp 32auto. It's very tiny but I don't like it. I can only shoot the Winchester silvertips. That is expressly what the gun was designed for. Most other bullets will jam in that gun. What if winchester stops producing the 32 silvertip. I'm screewed then.
I also own the Beretta 32 Tomcat. Slightly bigger in size, but a much better gun for the money. Buy a Beretta and you wont be sorry.

Additionally, I have large hands, and the only thing worse than the Seecamp would be a baby Browning...I can only get one finger below the trigger guard, and I can tell by looking at it that the web of my hand will function as a psuedo-high speed slide-stop! :-)
