Need recommendation for 12GA O/U?
I would like a good hunting over & under shotgun. However, there is a limit, I would like to find something at or under $500. I have heard of Boiti and EAA but do not know anything about them. Are there other makes out there I should consider on a working man's budget?

I've had and have quite a few EAA/Baikal 12ga's, all in side by sides, but the quality is on par with their O/U's...they're great working man's hunting guns, nothing really fancy, but they work, and they shoot well...I'm quite fond of the two remaining SxS's I have now (attempting to sell the 28" SxS selective trigger if you're interested in a SxS instead-$200+shipping or I could meet you in KC or Lawrence KS- [email protected]), they're very well balanced and pretty light even for SxS's, but somehow recoil is light.
I don't know anything about Boiti or whatever it is you mentioned, but I've had a few Stoegers that are in that price range ($400 new I believe), they're quite good shooters, I liked them a lot better on asthetics than the EAA's, although they don't balance as well in my hands-your mileage may vary. They're also rock solid-Most recent one I handled was a buddies Condor, he was about to take it back to the shop because he went four rounds without hitting a single clay with it-was a state runner up clay shooter in high school-just knew it was the gun-I took it and broke 50/50 with it, told him not to take it back, just give it to me!!! I was a sweet shooter!

I would agree for $400 the Baikal is the way to go. Nothing on the market under $500 near. The Ruger red label o.u can be problematic, all the ones I looked at NIB were so loose they fell open, a buddy returned his it would not remain closed.
