RE: JAMMING!!!!
I've repaired several 870 problems similar to what you're explaining by simply polishing the chambers.
I chuck them in a lathe and polish with a dowel (wood) and 150 grit emery cloth.
Remington is trying to hit a target price and missing the quality requirements in my opinion. It's always with the cheap 870 express.

RE: JAMMING!!!!
Funny how some people are blaming this malfunction on "cheap" shells. Any quality pump I've ever shot would perform reguardless of the shells used. I can understand a semi being picky, but a pump??, that don't jive with me, new or not, a pump should handle anything you feed it[:'(]
With the above quote it's obviously not the shells,if you can see the brass in the ejection port and it's still hard to pull, the shells are'nt the problem, afterall,by this point the brass is clear of the chamber and no longer a factor.
Another interesting thing I've noticed, the 870's are the only pumps that I've heard of having this problem. Unpolished chambers=poor Q.C.[:'(]
could only pull the forearm back enuf to see all the brass on the shell thru the ejection port....like i could still pump it wen this happened i just had to pull pretty hard....
