Im going to buy a new ar. I want a 223 though. Was leaning towards dpms sweet 16 but I really dont need it to be compact just looking for good praire dog/fox/coyote gun for the 200 yard range I have a rem vls 243 with a mark 4 on it so if they get too far ill use that. just looking for input or better suggestions thanks

With ARs, there really isn't a 'one size fits all.' If you want to use one for varminting, get a AR with a varmint upperwith a 20-24" free floated barrel. The nice thing is, if you want a 16" carbine, all you need to do is buy a carbine upper and spend about 20 seconds swapping out the upper.
