ok so some say I am crazy. I own a tikka T3, a new sako85, a model 70 Fwt, and a remington 700, all in 6.5x55. any european ammo I have tried including the lapua has devastating results on any memeber of the deer family. Handloading will alow you to extract a little more, but hey if you want something that kicks alot breathes fire like a dragon, by a belted shoulder cannon. The swede will do the same on any northamerican critter at normal hunting ranges that any of them will do, without starting an earthquake. Handloading and good optics..the new 85 , 5 shots covered by a dime.

UShunter Awesome a very good friend of mine has the same gun and it shoots AMAZING!!. full stock is also a great idea cause it won't cause the barrel to pull like some stocks will. i have a ruger .308 w/ a full stock and it shoots great as well Good job on the purchase u won't be disapointed

I have an old sporterized 6.5X55 Swiss and am loving it so far. Low recoil, hard hitting with all that sectional density and accurate. The only down side is finding brass locally, but I did end up buying some Wolf ammo, not the best but it shoots pretty well for cheap ammo.
