RE: CZ 550 FS 6.5x55 Swede
Thanks longrifle. Besides looking good, the gun feels just right for me. You know that feeling you get when you pick up the gun first time and lift it up on your cheek. Some rifles you have to make small adjustments to feel comfortable with, some just fall in place perfectly. This gun is the latter for me. For a bigger guy, the gun might feel small, don't know.
I ordered 500 rounds of swedish military surplus ammo from J&G Sales, paid about $0.50 per round delivered. I will use it on the range for target practice.
I will be using most likely the Prvi ammo for hunting. Does anybody have realtime hunting experience with this ammo? It has a 139 grain soft point boat tail bullet.

Harold, thanks for the info. I found a 20 rd box of Prvi at Graf & Sons for $12.99 per box. I can't afford paying twice that for other ammo as I need to practice shoot with my hunting ammo. Thanks again.

To get the most out of a modern 6.5x55 you should hand load. most store bought ammo is for those 100 yr. old actions.
