Mike,
Try some different ammo through it, and check the barreled action fit to the stock. What I have found out. No matter how bad you think a rifle shoots, there is some load that will shoot good in it. I had a Savge 10FP in .223 that shot terrible. I tried for six months to get it to group. I read a magazine article on the accuracy of the Savages. The best accuracy the author was getting with his rifle was with 40gr bullets. I decided to give them a try. The first group I shot went under .4". I had been using heavier bullets because of the fast twist rate of the rifle. So before giving up on it try some different loads. You might be surprised.

the ADL's generaly shoot good,i don't understand how you got two that don't shoot good groups.the only time my ADL groups open up is when i shoot to fast(that short sporter barrel will not talorate rapid fireing)and when cooper foul gets to excessive.could either of these be your problem???

I have a Encore and I have had trouble with it grouping and I sent it back to T/C and they had to recrown the barrel. I haven't shot since because my deer season is fixing to open and I had to put the scope I had on it on another gun for the season. But they said when I talked to them that it was shooting a 1" group at a 100 yards with 150gr. Winchester bullets.

I have a 700 ss dm in 25 -06 and the thing will shoot 1/4 groups at 100. i shot it yesterday and it will do it. killed a big 7 pt sat morning with it and put him down on impact.
Now i load my own ammo and use a stoney point oal tool and set my bullet at .010 off the rifling. It really has made a big difference in howw all my guns shoot using that tool.
my gun likes 100 gr B/T's. now i will say it didnt like factory ammo as much as it does my loads .
A good trigger job can make big differences in how you shoot. remington tends to make their triggers real stiff.even my sons 700 adl youth in 243 i adjusted the trigger. and made a big change in his shooting .

Maybe it could be your scope. I had a simmons 2.5x10x50 which i tried on three diffrent rifles i own and all 3 shot like crap. I removed the scope and put on a diffrent on and they cut bullet holes. Each time i would put it on a rifle and shoot badly i blamed the rifle, come to find out it was the scope.
