I have a 700 ss dm in 25 -06 and the thing will shoot 1/4 groups at 100. i shot it yesterday and it will do it. killed a big 7 pt sat morning with it and put him down on impact.
Now i load my own ammo and use a stoney point oal tool and set my bullet at .010 off the rifling.It really has made a big difference in howw all my guns shoot using that tool.
my gun likes 100 gr B/T's. now i will say it didnt like factory ammo as much as it does my loads .
A good trigger job can make big differences in how you shoot. remington tends to make their triggers real stiff.even my sons 700 adl youth in 243 i adjusted the trigger. and made a big change in his shooting .
