Try some different ammo through it, and check the barreled action fit to the stock. What I have found out. No matter how bad you think a rifle shoots, there is some load that will shoot good in it. I had a Savge 10FP in .223 that shot terrible. I tried for six months to get it to group. I read a magazine article on the accuracy of the Savages. The best accuracy the author was getting with his rifle was with 40gr bullets. I decided to give them a try. The first group I shot went under .4". I had been using heavier bullets because of the fast twist rate of the rifle. So before giving up on it try some different loads. You might be surprised.
