You better go back to the drawing board with that statement fritz1. There are a number of states that don't allow ANY centerfire rifles for any type of hunting, some that allow them only for certain animals, and some that only allow them in certain areas of their state. Michigan, for instance, does not allow a centerfire rifle to be used for deer in the zone 3 southern part of the state, but they can be used at other times for varmints.

True, but they are not illeagle because of caliber restrictions, like you said, where it is illeagle, all other centerfires are illeagle also. Any state or area that is leagle to hunt with a centerfire rifle is leagle to do so with a 243, regaurdless of the animal. It is totally leagle here in the state of Idaho to use any centerfire 22 or larger to shoot big game, which includes elk, bear, moose or any big game animal. Some states, such as Florida all 22's centerfire or not are illeagle .

FYI "illeagle" is a sick bird! What you are talking about is things that are legal or illegal!

theres a guy here that uses one,he loads the partition i do know he never shoots further than 150 yrds.the problem is the 6mm dont hit with alot of shock but a boiler room hit works.good luck sir.

Im just saying everyone now days thinks you have to have a big gun to kill effectively, that is not true. The truth is you dont need anything bigger than a 30-06 to kill anything walking. Jack Oconners wife used a 30-06 with 220gr bullets to kill her elephant, Killamanjaro Bell killed more elephants than anyone in the world, using a 7x57, and peoples attitude today will suggest that the 30-06 is a minumum elk round and the 7x57 is only good for moderate range deer. My how annimals have gotten tougher over the years. LOL.

In Pa, we have a caliber restriction min. of .270 cal centerfire and .50 cal muzzleloader
