Do not buy from Riflescopes.com (SWFA)

I ordered the burris pos align rings and they didn't fit my cantilever scope mount as they said they would. So I returned them virtually unused, and they not only didn't refund my shipping to and from, they claimed the rings were rusty and only credited me a portion of the purchase price. I had the rings out of theoriginal package for a total of 20 minutes in my house, put them back in the package and mailed them back. They never got close to being wet! So I bought rings for $35, got credited $30 and it cost me $14 to ship to and from.

I hate to tell you this, but most every place you order from will not credit you for the shipping either way and most places do have a restocking fee.Just becausethey did not fit your application does not mean that SWFA shouldLOOSE money on your order. I do not think that they should make any money either. Both of the shipping charges are dollars thatwere spent whether or not you for you to try and see if they fit. Also they have dollars tied up inpackaging forshipment in terms of an employee's time and effort. These things are dollars out of their pocket and I am sure they have heard it all when it comes to returns. I am sure this is even in their order policy. Do not blame them for an honest mistake on either your or their part.

p.s. I have never ordered anything fromSWFA but have only heard great things about them. I just hate it when people come on this site and bash a company because a customer was not happy with their purchase.

I have ordered several items from them, and had no problems. I also would not expect them to pay for shipping to return the product. And I'm sure you were just charged a restocking fee, which is very common. It isn't their fault you didn't know what you wanted. As far as them telling you they would fit, I am guessing they meant the rings would fit your bases. Why didn't they work, was your scope to big for the height of the rings? In my experience, SWFA has been a great company to deal with.

I called them about a price match on a scope and they just repeated what they were selling it for which was about 80$ more then ebinoculars.com. I was never impressed with their prices but they do sell the slighty used scopes for some good deals at www.samplelist.com.

Oh man, where do we start with this guy. I’ll make it short and sweet because it looks like ya’ll are just as sick and tired of people trying to hold retailers hostage by threatening to run and tell everyone on the Internet.
Mr. Green purchased the Burris rings 11/14/05 we shipped and he rec’d them 11/16/05.
He calls 03/21/06 asking to return them. We have a 30 day return period, this was 120 days. But to keep a customer happy we went ahead and agreed to accept them back for a refund.
We get them back with NO packaging and rusted and damaged from being installed with what appears to be the wrong size screw driver because the head of the slot screw is messed up. Still trying to make him happy we agreed to just charge him a 15% restocking fee (which just allows us to sell them at 15% over cost to get rid of them).
This was not good enough for him and he started the threats, about how he is going to tell everyone in the world how bad we are…..etc, etc.
Little did he know that our loyal customers look out for us and not only alerted us to this thread, they even came to our defense…..thanks guys.
We should have just refused the return or sent them back after we rec’d them with no package, damaged and four months after he bought them.
Thanks Mr. Green for starting this thread as it only helps solidify how good our customer service really is.
