ONE WORD FOR YA.....REMINGTON!! I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER OWNED A BROWNING AND I AM SURE THEY ARE A GOOD RIFLE. THE REMINGTONSARE A SIMPLISTIC PROVEN AND ACCURATE DESIGN. ACCURACY AND DEPENDABILITY ARE WHAT MAKE THE MODEL 700 THE TOP CHOICE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT, MILITARY SNIPERS AND TACTICAL UNITS. I HAVE OWNED NUMEROUS REMINGTON 700'S OF VARIOUS CALIBERS AND HAVE YET TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ONE.

Ifit is a tossup buy the American made Remington. If you are leaning toward the Browning before you buy take a look at the Weatherby Fibermark $800.00 retail and worth the extra $50.00. Better stock, 24 inch barrel, great action, great looking.
