It really depends on how much you want to spend on ammo. Any 150 grain psp will do just fine on deer provided it shoots well from your gun. I've killed many deer with my .308 using Federal Premium 150 grain Nosler ballistic tips and that round is absolutely deadly. This year I'm switching to the Hornady Superformance 150 grain SST. The reason being is that the bullet is very similar to the Nosler Ballistic Tip that I've been using, it's a faster round, and most importantly, they're about $12 a box cheaper than the Federals!!!

I haven't had a whole lot of time or money (mostly money) to play around with ammunition since I bought my Mossberg ATR in August, but so far my gun has liked Winchester X in 150 grain and it has REALLY liked the Ballistic Silvertips in 168 grain and the federal vital shocks in 165 grain (uses a barnes triple expander). At long ranges, the ballistics for the heavier loads were just like they said on the box--2" high at 100 yards and a drop of 24" at 300. I'm not sure if it likes the weight better, or if it's just the better quality cartridge. I'm curious about those hornady superformance because they're a heck of a lot cheaper than the other premium loads and they still have the slightly heavier bullet.
