hey Carpetbagger-unless the store put together the rifle/scope combo, Most of the factory combos usually put cheap scopes on them I wouldn't have on 1 of my .22 rimfires. I would HIGHLY reccomend getting a decent scope seperate. Just saying buyer beware.
No they use pretty decent grade stuff out at our store. They have things they like to call "Managers Specials" its done in house by the store. Its usually a left over from last year with a burris fullfield or a nikon prostaff on it.

Last one i saw was a Winchester Model 70 (pre buyout by FN) with a Fullfield II scope for like 800. Included sling, scope rings, mounted and boresighted with a case. I thought it was a nice buy

Ive also seen a Model 7600 in 270 with a Prostaff scope for like 699 as well as a few muzzleloader packages. They usually have one over there every time i go...only live about 15min from the place so i frequent it alot.

Yeah those represent the best scopes available within that price range. I was talking about the wal-mart type combos mounted from factory.

No i wasnt pushing those outfits on anyone....In PA here you cant even buy a rifle from walmart anymore all they carry are knives, muzzleloaders, and bb guns...no rifles or shotguns.

Makes things alot easier on our gun guys with walmart outa the picture.

I have an Icon classic in .270 Win and have been very impressed. It shoots a variety of ammo under 1 MOA. It is also a very nice looking gun.
