the 7mm allen mag? isnt it a 338 lapua necked down to a 7mm.

geez, 338 lapua necked down to 7mm? the lapua is already a .416 rigby necked down to .338, so now theres a .416 necked down to .284? wowsers.

No the 338 Lapua isnt simply a necked down version of the 416 Rigby. While based on the Rigby case, the Lapuacase is shortened and the web area is thickened to be able to take greater pressures.
