Got out Saturday and Sunday afternoon and saw 7 baldies total from 2 different stands. I do have some nice sign by one of my stands (cedar stand) and hope to get a look at what ever is making the rubs. Haven't had any time this summer to scout so it was really nice to get into the woods after so long. Neighbors have been seeing some nice ones in the area so hopefully I can get a chance at one of them. Just hope it cools off again, that will get them moving around a little more.
Good luck to you guys!!!

Well I just got back from a 7 day trip to Disney World so I haven't had time to get to the woods. Man the weather has been great while I was gone too. Wouldn't you know it. The good news is I will be off work for 25 straight days starting Oct. 22. Thats right 25 straight days during prime time!! I can't wait. Oh..also a late welcome to the new guys.

Had a nice night yesterday. It was very windy but as soon as the sun was down it calmed right down. It was my first hunt out at camp in Ralph, MI and again no scouting. Around 6:25 pm I had a nice 6 with about a 13" spread come in. It took till 6:39 pm to finally offer me a shot. I didn't even grab my bow when I saw him coming because I knew I was going to pass on him, no brow tines. I got to watch him for nearly 45 minutes which by then it had become very dark so all I could see was the white ring around his nose. A couple other deer were on there way in from behind me but the wind had shifted and I think they winded me. The buck had no idea I was there and wasn't the least bit nervous even as the coyotes were yipping near by. The deer behind me took off and the buck left in the opposite direction just wondering what their problem was. I got some heck at camp for passing but I told them I was saving it for them, I'll wait for a bigger one!!! He was at 17 yards pretty much the whole time. It was an awsome night!!!
Heading out in a hour or so to my property, hope to get some more action. Good luck to you guys!!!

Got out thursday morning early. Sat in my stand until it started to rain at about 9:30 so went to the truck for a nap. Went back out after it quite raining until dark. Didnt see anything. Friday it rained so didnt get out. Saturday had 5 turkeys sneek up behind me. Just as I was drawing back there walked into some heavy brush giving no shot. At 11:00 had a nice wide 6 point at about 15 yards walk by. He was as wide as his ears but not just big enough. After lunch got back out and only saw 1 deer running in the creek bed. I could hear her runnning but couldnt see her until she was about 30 yards from my stand. Never did see what was running her. Had a pretty good day in the woods. I will be back out again this weekend. Everyone have a great day.

Well guys i've seen alot of deer already this season but nothing within range, i almost took a doe last nite from the ground but the daylight faded to fast before she was in range. Mostly seeing movement during late evening, hopefully things will change in the next few days. I did however move one of my stands which looks to be a great place to hunt for when the rut kicks in so im staying outta there for awhile. Well hopefully this evening will be better. Good luck all.

Quick update.
Well I'm suppose to be hunting all this week getting a big one for the team, but work has kept me away. I have rescheduled the bow trip for 2 weeks from now. Should be alot more activity by then anyway so maybe its a good thing.
I may get out locally this weekend for a few hours, I'll keep you guys updated.
Our team may be getting a slow start but I figure we will finish strong with the big rut and post-rut bucks.

Per Rob PA Bowyers request I will remind everyone that your photo must include the bow in it or it will not be accepted into the contest. Thanks guys and good luck!
