Finally time to hunt
The truck is packed and I'm leaving this afternoon for camp. I'll be back Monday hopefully with pics and an entry. Or maybe at least some stories. Good hunting to all this week, and be safe.

Well, anything happening out there? Have seen the same 6pt twice now and a little one. That is it for bucks. I did see a dandy 10 pt. with a 17-18 in spread on the road at about 10 feet but left my camera in the back of the truck so I couldn't get a picture of him. Would have been a nice picture with the headlights lighting him up. His G2's were 6-8 in long, a nice buck for the area.
Just this morning, my brother-in-law went out and saw all baldies until he took a ride afterwards. At about 8:30 he went down by my uncles camp and saw another 10 pt. with about an 18 in. spread and 8-9 in G2's 3-4 in brows. It wanted to cross the road and sat there for 15 min just showing off his rack. He said it was a good size deer. I haven't talked to my uncle to see if it is ok to hunt there yet but will be on the phone today. I am sure it will be no problem. When the buck left he went into a thick balsam patch so I think a ground blind will be needed. My bro-in-law said the buck must have been on a doe because he wanted to cross the road but wouldn't because his truck was there. 20 yards the whole time and no camera!!! Gets the blood pumping!!!
Vacation in 1 Week, hope to see that boy!!!!
Good luck to you guys, let us know what is going on.

Back from the 5 day hunting trip. Nothing to exciting to report except a dead turkey for the Thanksgiving table
The only buck I saw was in front of the house the day I was coming back. Nothing but "fuzz-heads" at the stand and couldnt even get a good shooting oppurtunity at them or I would have put some meat in the freezer. Next up is Rifle season for me in MO. then back to the tree stand in December. I hope we are a strong second half team

Roscoe, I live in the Kansas City area. I bought a small lake place at Lake of the Ozarks last spring and am hunting that area for the first time. Some good land around there but I am still learing it.
