Put your Bow in another room, order a pizza and watch the entire DVD twice with no distractions!

I just sat through the DVD Excalibur encluded with my crossbow. I watched everything and did not see where they talk about and/or show how to adjust the bow string? However, I see the marks and think I get it. Install, taking off the pads. If it is short of the lines, add a twist or so then recheck until I get to 1 1/8"

Installing new a new string in about 5 minutes. Found the lines which are measured at 1/2" and 1 1/2". I plan to try the 1 1/8" spot as was suggested. Will let you know how it goes. For hunting, should I put the stuff on the string to make it quiter or does that really work? It does seem to snap pretty good. With only 315 fps and shooting at possibly 40 yards, a Coyote may jerk out of the kill zone????

I installed the new string. It cameout tobe 1 3/4". I wanted 1 1/8"? I guess it will stetch out after a while (the other one did). Also, the fps dropped to 300 and the bolts hit about 2 1/2" lower then when I set up with the other string with bolts going out 315 fps. I figure after reading all the posts, maybe I ought to give Dan a call and have him send me all the better stuff lol
