Beecel, I took exception to you saying "you guys are a bit crazy with some of your yardages" and "any more than 30 is bordering on irresponsible".

Somehow i thinkthat many folks are trying to emulate the "experts" on the Sportsman's Channel who shoot elk at 70 yards with a compound bow and elk at 700 yards with a rifle. They do not show their many screwups, with the animal escaping to die a lingering death. Saw one guy who admitted to taking a "Hail Mary"shot at an elk.
I had a happily feeding buck jump my string. The distance was about 40 yards. He hunched to the ground and the bolt zipped over his back.

I am abit curious as to how many times u Buck Hunter 14 are going to post a new topic by refrasing your original ? You need to come out of the closet! So don't run off and say u read on this forum about folks shooting Elk at 70 yds. with a compound Bow. Thats a comment made about TV videos and lousy stuff they do to try and sell to make their living off of Hunters like us who view them.

Mike, don't worry about it. We have to get junior to be as tough as The Squirrel! I'd take on the two of them anytime! LOL!
