I went shed hunting today. While out I walked by the tree I was standing by when I shot my late season doe. That was Dec.28 2004. My youngest daughter went with me for the recovery, about 100 yards later she lay.As I walked down the run I came to the spot where my best bow buck had expired. That was the evening of Nov.6 2002. I thought about the days of success and wundered what this year will bring. I also thought about the 6 or 7 bucks I passed on and wundered how big they will be if they made it through. Just buying time waiting for Oct 1 2005.Oh no luck shed hunting today.

Your post sets my mind to wandering about crisp fall air and critters that have fallen to my arrows. Thankfully there is turkey and shed hunting to keep my mind off the withdrawls of the offseason.
I love the rack on your buck. Lots of character.

I have one good spot that does that to me down in bonnets mill, MO. Hunted all day and never seen anything, so I decided to get out of the woods and try again the next day. I let my bow down and had just turned loose of the rope when a nice 8 point and three of his girlfriends ran up and stopped under my tree. I didnt know if i should yell and scare them so they didnt step on my new parker or wait and hope......I waited and got a doe the next night.

I have been attending bowhunters anonymous meeting every week for about 3 months now, and was just about over my addictions! Thanks alot, I will have to renew my commitment for another 6 months!
My name is Don, and I have a problem. You see, I am a bowhunter.
