Anchor Point
#11
I used to use a kisser button and still have it on the string but I use a face mask when hunting so the kisser doesn't work too good. If you use masks, gloves, etc, I would wear them while practicing and see how they affect your anchor point.

VERY GOOD POINT, that little mishap caused me to completely miss a chip shot at 15yds on a boarder line P&Y buck several years ago. Went to practice with my thick wool face mask on and was shooting 8 inches high!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody have a problem with the kisser button occasionally cutting the corner of their mouth? I didn't use to have this problem, but I do now. Don't know if it is me (probably is), or if the kisser itself has somehow changed.

I think if you pull your bow back and put a piece of tape on your face where your hand (what ever part) touches then practice that way always putting your hand on the tape the same way, it should be habit forming. Also, if you video tape a session you can see were you need to improve. Another way to improve is to shoot with your eyes closed (up close). Other senses will kick in giving you a better grip on things.

sounds like you've got all the good info you need. Everyone pretty much has the same idea. I also place my knuckle and the bottom of my earlobe with the string in the corner of my mouth and touching the tip of my nose. The more anchor points you can establish comfortably the more consistent you will be.
