Turkey are much easier in my opinion unless you're hunting in a fenced in area, or by a feeder for deer.

Again, the location/state you are hunting is as much of a factor if not more, than the knowledge of the hunter. Maybe silent is a great turkey hunter. But maybe most would find them easy if they hunted the same area he does, who knows. Although I would tend to say that if you(silent) feel that you can go anywhere and have the same success that you do in your spot, then IMHO you are sorely mistaken. If not, then you need to start making your own turkey hunting videos to show the pro's how it's done.

Well Indy I have done as well in Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Tennessee Mississippi, and Kentucky as I have in Arkansas. So where does that leave us? I don't even go on turkey hunts anymore? As far as showing the pros how it's done, I am sure they don't need anyone to show them how it's done. Besides my way of doing things may not be interesting enough for video sales. I have found that turkeys are stupid enough that most of the time you don't have to call or do anything other than sit and wait. Doesn't sound very entertaining to me.

I am truely surprised that so many of you find it more difficult to kill a turkey than any deer much less a mature buck. When I say turkey that includes jakes or hens also. I am seriously considering hunting turkeys with a rock next year. So lets do it this way. Which is harder to kill a boss tom or a 4 year or older buck?

Who changed things around Silentass?
We dont hunt hens around here and the majority of fellas I know , wont shoot a drake. Apparently , you find it so easy because you shoot the first bird that shows up.
Your the one that started this thread! You started it because someone disagreed with you in another thread.
Fact is , people will continue to disagree with you from time to time!
Wipe your nose on your sleeve , pull your baggy pants up so your boxers aren't showing , and get over it!

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote<font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>The bottom line is that someone has to shoot unproven broadheads at deer before they are proven.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>
Shooting a head that has been shot through plywood, steel, and firm rubber with excellent results........along with a report on initial sharpness and construction at least gives you an indication of how well you can trust that head to perform. I will take that any day over just leafing through Cabela's catalog and picking the one that looks "cool".
<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>As far as the hot headed little kid thing goes...........I typically won't have a battle of wits with an unarmed man.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote>
Thanks for making my point so clearly
As you can see, I am not the only one pointing it out either<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
