Ive never actually shot with feathers, but from what I hear feathers have a tendancy to correct arrow flight better than vanes. Since I dont have fletching equipment and ocasionally hunt in the rain, I use vanes because of their durability and their resistence to the elements.

This forum helped me again!! You all are unanimous on feathers. I don't think I need any more advice, I'm going to try feathers.

HeHeHe, well maybe not. I been back and forth many times. But what it ultimately comes down to for me is I hate baby sitting my feathers (protecting them, waterproofing them). Yes, feathers are more forgiving, but I'm back to vanes again.

Feathers are better. Make noise when brushed up on clothing, and are a pain when it rains but they fly true. And really that is the biggest deal, if more accurate shots are possible then thats why I use them now.
