I'd like some of your opinions on what I should do in my current situation-
Due to a recent injury I have limited mobility. The piece of land I hunt on mainly has 10 different stand locations over 600 acres or so. Unfortunately I can only manage to get to 2 of them. In the past, I've always tried to hunt the stands according to the wind and mix it up as much as possible not hunting a particular stand too often.
Now, I don't have that luxury. Would I be better off not hunting for 3,4, or 5 days and give the two stands a break or do I just hunt like I've been dying to do for 11 months and take my chances and hope for the best for this season?? Thanks for your opinions.

You know what they say, you can't kill one from the couch. Unless you are getting picked off or in other ways being noticed by the deer, I'd keep hunting. As the rut approaches new bucks will invade the territory anyway, who have never even seen your stand. JMO

In earlier in the year I'd say hunt the stands and then leave them alone for awhile, but now that the rut is almost here and hitting hard....all of the added deer movement will help you out. You could have deer coming by your stand that haven't been in your area before or if they have only a few times. I'd think good scent control is a must with this situation. Hunt away. Can't shoot them from your couch. lol

Hopefully the two stands are optimum with diffrent winds. If that's the case then I'd hunt as you feel like you should, like you've been thinking about for the past 11 months. Hunt the stand that offers the best situation (wind) on any given day and practice scent control. In my honey hole I hunt every day the wind is right that I can get out. Sometimes the wind is right for a week or more at a time and I have no problem getting in there 3,4 or5 days in a row. The key if the wind isn't right is to be scent free.
If you start getting busted you might want to lighten up on the particular stand but until that time go for it. You've waited 11 months and deserve to get out there.

I agree with what adams has stated. Hunt the stand that will be right for the wind situation that day. If the wind allows you to hunt both stands, then hunt one location for 2 or 3 days and then switch to the other stand for 2 or 3 days. That should be enough time to let things settle back down. Good luck!
