wrap mine in large plastic trash bags with some leaves in it the bag too to keep that nice outdoors smell. then put it in my closet. try to keep it in a as dry of an enviroment as possible. in the past i kept my stands in the garage some how or another the bolts and hinges would rust even after spraying them with a lubricant they still would not be as quiet as they were new. A squeaky stand is a pain in the rear when positioning your feet for certain angled shot.
