Where do you store your stand?
Since I had to stay home with a sick kid yesterday, I did a lot of chores around the house and in the yard. Mowed the grass/collected leaves, ran the chainsaw , ran the log splitter, split about a cord of wood. As I was putting things away last night I looked over at my new viper x4. And it hit me. I'm storing gas cans in the same garage where I keep my bow and stand. Where do you guys put your tree stands when your not out hunting? I'm wondering what I can do to minimize the unnatural smells from soaking into my hunting gear.

RE: Where do you store your stand?
I keep all my stuff in the barn. Then it smells like barn animals which the deer are used to anyway!

I store all my hunting equipment in my barn also. It doesnt get the "Human" scent as some people say. It keeps them with a scent like it was part of the outdoors.

Store my Summit Climber in my garage...but spray the crap out of it before taking it out in the woods. If I had a barn, it would go there too.

mine is in the backseat of my truck rightnow with an Earth Scent wafer pinned to it. Keeps the whole truck smelling nice and earthy.
Usually i keep it in the basement or garage and spray it down with scent lkiller before using it, but during the season it spends most of the time in my truck |

Mine's in the garage..........with all the lawnmowers,gas cans, etc. !! ;)
I've killed two does already, seen I don't know how many does, passed on 3 bucks, and almost got a shot on a good buck last week out of it................so I don't think it's causing me any trouble ! :D |
RE: Where do you store your stand?
During the season mine stays outside on my back porch. During the off-season I take off all the padding, straps, etc. and store the metal frames in my basement. I put the padding, etc. in a storage container.
