Speeking as a hunter and a land owner.
some times its to much of a problem to let people hunt.

The posibilty of a law sute is a big problem.
with owning land the possible risk due to hunting will raze the risk leavel higher.

I usto let any of the family hunt that wanted to and i would all so let them braing people on a ask bacies.

i moved in with my girlfrind a few years ago "wife now" i let the same people hunt.
i was not hunting much and theas family members took my absence as a free for all.

they would come and go braing people with out asking.

there were aurgement between them due to one planting food plots and others hunting ove it.

some family tryed to run off other family.

i came over and hunted to have some one walk up to me and ask what i was doing hunting in there spot!!

my answer was simpple your spot he"" its my land.

so now there is hard fellings between the family.

access is limited as of right now to 3 people and no frinds.
permission has went from being seasion long to ask per day hunt.

there is still a bunch of people around familly and non-familly hunters that abuse the permission to hunt.

and one bad experance from a hunter to a land owner is realy all it take to leave a bad tast in the land owners mouth towards hunters.

when my dad usto controal the hunting back in the early 80's we had fild ran over,pasture cought on fire,gates left open.
that is the reasion it went to mostly family hunt but it seam family ant all that much better.

just last year my father inlaw had live stock shot.
so now he lets no one hunt.

It is pretty difficult around here to aquire land as well.I consider myself lucky because we own 1000 + acres 10 of us hunt on at certain times of the year.Most farmers and land owners hunt themselves and they dont want to fight the crowds on there own property.
The property that i strictly hunt on for deer during archery is also a 900 acre parcil that i have full rights to.I am the only person allowed on there,may take a friend also as long as I am there.The landowner is my friends father and he said he was sick of people leaving garbage on his land and leaving cattle gates open.
I think the biggest problem with todays society is nobody respects any ones personal belongings,everyone seems to take it for granted.
If you do get permission to hunt someones land treat it as if it were your own,and offer to give him a hand when need be,it goes a long way.I will also offer some venison steaks and roast if he likes it.considering how he is the one feeding the deer

We had a bad experience with one guy who asked my dad to hunt on our land and my dad turned him done. a few months later during bow season, my uncle caught the guy and another guy down on our land and said my dad had given them permission. we've let a few people in, but not anymore.

It is hard to get permission everywhere, the key is to really treat a landowner well, when you do get permission. Their land, is their land and should be treated with respect. I have seen many hunters do stupid things on farms that were not theirs. I pay lease's to help the farmers cover there taxe's, I remember christmas time, and give nice thoughtfull gifts. I would not let many peaple hunt my land, I am very carefull about the peaple I allow to go in on my lease's, and I have a great amount of respect and feel that I owe more than I can give to the land owners who do allow me to use there land and kill there game.
