Default Mechanicals for Turkeys?

I noticed that alot of you use Mechanicals for turkeys. I was wondering why? What are there advantages? Although this was gonna be my first season hunting turkey with bow and it was busted up by work. I was planning on using some Muzzys or my Montecs.

I used Montecs this year because I had them from Deer Hunting. I never got a shot so can't say how they'd work but a buddy of mine took a jake the last day with a spitfire. It looked like he'd shot the thing with a 7 Mag. Since penatration isn't an issue it seems like mechs are the best for Turkeys. Next year I'll be using Spitfires.

I also use spitfires, they fly good under adverse conditions, and for the 1.5 in. cut. Better chance of hitting vitals.

Generally mechs are more accuarte for the average guy shooting the average hunting rig. And as we all know, Turkey hunting requires the best accuarcy you can muster to place a b-head in a small baseball sized kill zone. Also, the larger cutting swaths of the big bladed mechs assure more devastating wounds. We all know that you really have to crush a Gobbler to put 'em down for the count. The "7mm" mag wound mentioned above is NO exaggeration at all, mechs tear 'em up!!! Also as mentioned, penetration is not a concern so shoot a monster bladed head, you're either leaving two tremendous holes in the bird OR the arrow will stay in the bird making that much more difficult for him to scramble to his feet. IMO, I don't think you could possibly make a better choice then shooting large mechs for Gobblers. I really like the Rocket Slammerhead.

Cornfield pretty much summed it up. I dont use rockets, even though they are great heads. I used the vortex heads this year, and the one i took had that same huge hole in him. He only hobbled like 30 yards. So, accuracy, width, and devastation is why i use them.

I use the Spitfires,I like them because they're so easy to setup and fly closer to my fieldpoint's but I also use muzzy grasshopper's to stop them from completely passing through.
