Any buck is a good buck as long as I can eat it. I'm not picky...

I should also say that Washington State has the 3 pt. minimum or Antlerless rule. So, a 3pt buck or better is fine with me!

in my area of sask 150 b&c score and up is a nice deer. Usually as a rule of thumb if the rack is outside its ears he is a shooter. The deer i got this fall had only a 16 inch spread but was really tall and heavy so i took him down.

A decent buck would have around 16-18 inch inside spread, at least 8 point, good mass, and tine length. Basically something around the pope & young minimum. A really good buck around 140-150 as well. A good 31/2 year old should be around a80pounds around here.

We don't shoot anything less then 20"+ with mass until late season in Jan. After that kill what you want. There are plenty of them on every hunt. I prefer the yearlings though. They are lighter and quicker to deal with.

However after I saw a friend skin, grab de-boned hind qtrs and back straps, in less then 15 mins speed isn't an issue. He dosen't even bother to gut the deer.
