I can only speak from personal experience. I have owned and used 5 different summit stands in the last 20 years. Not a single one has ever give me any problems. They all have been solid, quiet and safe. As with any product you will have problems along the way, some manufactures more than others. I would go out on a limb hear and say from what I have read on these forums Summit seems to have one of the best track records as far as quality and safety goes.

I'm 255 without gear. Revolution works fine for me. IMO, if your paying for it...get it. if your gramps or dad are paying...I think you may be out of luck
