I'll go out on a limb here but it maybe about extending bow season? I have heard talk of idnr extending bow season, starting in september instead of october cause of the lack of does taken in the past few seasons..
Not sure though but i hope they do extend bow season, even though sept can be very humid and hot still...I dunno but we'll see...

The IDNR is considering several changes to their Administrative Policies.
Some of them are:
Open new parts of northern Ill to hunting(Kane County I believe)
Increase non-resident fees to $276 from $226
Increase NR tags from 12843 to 15000
Allowing any gun during January doe season(From pistols only)
These may be on the table:
Possibly add doe tags over the counter for NR hunters
Possibly reduce the number of bucks you can take in some counties.
I have heard nothing about lengthening bow season.
Good luck!
