Booneville, NY whitetails
[8D] Anyone on the forum hunt Booneville, NY? I had an e-mail that said a hunter visited Booneville a couple of weekends a year and wanted to know where I hunted. My bride erased the message before I could respond, by mistake. If anyone hunts that area please respond so that I may answer their ?. Thanks, Jim

TWAS me Jimbo: I just wondered where you lived. I usually come up for the early bow if I have a tag and stay over for the first day or two of the regular archery season. I then come up and bow hunt the last couple days of Muzzleloader and stay over for a day of rifle hunting with my brother who doesn't bow hunt. We have rights to a 2,500 acre farm just out of town.

There is NO "E".... I live in Maryland and know that.[:-] Everytime I go to the weather.com and type in Booneville it doesn't find it and I have to do it again. BUT, I've gotten smarter and now have it on my opening webpage.[:-]

[8D] I thought it was you, David. Guess I confused my Boonvilles. Years ago while in college I use to hunt in Booneville, KY., while attending UK. Presently, I mainly hunt 3 areas. One is about 600 acres, bow only area in Rochester, NY. Secondly, I have a kid brother who has a 150 acre farm in Wyoming County, about 50 minute drive SW of Rochester. Third area is SE of Rochester, Naples, NY area. That is the only state land I dare visit. With my son, Joe off to ESF at Syracuse next year we will be expanding into the Adirondacks. Family skis at Snow Ridge, close to BOONVILLE, so I've been thru their and liked what I've seen. Wife is from Saranack Lake and some of Joe's summer studies most likely will entail studying Cranberry Lake area. So next fall in order to hunt with Joe I will be heading into the Dacks on occasion. It's gonna be a hoot for us to scout and hunt some new areas. Keep me in mind if you ever need a partner or third when you visit your brother in BOONVILLE. I hope he is recovering well from his surgery. Jim & Joe Tobias.

[8D] Clint: read my msg. to davidmil. As next season approaches let me know if you need a partner or third up your way. My son, Joe, and me would love to meet someone who know the area well cause I won't be able to scout 1/1000 the amount of time that I normally do in my areas.
